System Requirements
Jigsaw Meeting has been tested and determined to run on the following operating systems:
Microsoft® Windows® XP, Microsoft Windows Server® 2003, Microsoft® Windows® Server 2008, Microsoft® Windows® Vista®, Microsoft® Windows® 7, Apple® Mac OSX® 10.5 (Leopard), Apple® Mac OSX® 10.6 (Snow Leopard), Linuxi® (For more information, see Does Jigsaw Meeting run on Linux? later in this document.)
Jigsaw Meeting supports live streaming video for presentation and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) for telephony (listening and speaking). In order to use these features of Jigsaw Meeting, your system must meet the device requirements listed here. For more detailed information about device requirements, usage and configuration, see the Device Setup FAQ.
A computer-connected camera (i.e., a webcam) is required for presenting live streaming video of meeting presenters and attendees. Ensure that the camera device used is properly connected and is supported by the operating system running on your computer. Also ensure that any associated device driver or other software necessary for camera operation has been pre-installed and tested on the operating system prior to using the device with Jigsaw Meeting. The device cannot be in a reserved state (by another video software program like Skype®, for example) when attempting to use it in Jigsaw Meeting.
A computer-connected listening device is required for hearing audio during meetings that use VoIP instead of an external conference line. A headset (combination headphones and microphone) is recommended. Using internal or external PC speakers is not recommended. For more details about using and configuring a listening device, see the Device Setup FAQ.
A computer-connected speaking device (also referred to as a recording device) is required for transmitting voice audio during meetings that use VoIP instead of an external conference line. A headset (combination headphones and microphone) is recommended.
IMPORTANT NOTE: It is recommended that attendees use headphones or a headset instead of PC speakers so that meeting audio does not reverberate into the microphone, causing sound distortion in the form of feedback and echoing. For more information, see Why is there an echo when using VoIP in Jigsaw Meeting?
For more details about using and configuring a listening device, see the Device Setup FAQ.

Microsoft® Internet Explorer® version 6.0 and later, Apple® Safari® version 4.0 and later, Mozilla® Firefox® version 3.0 and later.
The following web browsers should work with Jigsaw Meeting but have not as yet undergone extensive testing. If you experience issues with these browsers, please email a description of the issue and browser version to us at customerassist@jigsawmeeting.com and contact the browser manufacturer for more information.
Google® Chrome® version 5.0 and later Apple® Safari® version 5.0 and later
Ensure that the latest version of the browser software listed here is installed on your computer.
Adobe® Flash® Player 10 or later, available for download at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/. If the appropriate version is not installed, Jigsaw Meeting displays a warning message in the browser window, indicating that the content requires Adobe® Flash® Player 10.
NOTE: If you are using Microsoft® Internet Explorer® when you install Adobe® Flash® Player, the program entry listed in Control Panel is Adobe® Flash® Player 10 ActiveX® because Internet Explorer® uses ActiveX® controls. For other browsers like Mozilla® Firefox®, the Control Panel program entry appears as Adobe® Flash® Player 10 Plugin because other browsers use plug-ins instead of ActiveX® controls.
JavaScript. Ensure that JavaScript is enabled in your web browser settings. For information about how to configure your browser to enable JavaScript, contact your browser vendor, or see the Microsoft support web page How to enable scripting in your browser.
Ensure that your web browser is configured to allow pop-ups from stream.jigsawmeeting.com. If not, you receive an information bar message in your browser similar to the one displayed here when trying to join a meeting. The message that is displayed is dependent upon which browser you are using.
In Mozilla® Firefox®, an information bar indicates that a pop-up has been blocked.
Click the Options button in the information bar to modify pop-up settings, and select Allow pop-ups for stream.jigsawmeeting.com.
In Microsoft® Internet Explorer®, an information bar indicates that a pop-up has been blocked.
Click within the information bar to modify pop-up settings, and select Always Allow Pop-ups from This Site.
Click the Join Meeting button in Jigsaw Meeting again. The information bar should not appear in your browser. Your browser should be redirected to Jigsaw Meeting by way of either a new tab or a new window, depending upon your browser configuration.
In the Google® Chrome® browser, you must manually configure pop-up settings prior to joining a Jigsaw Meeting. To do this, click the customization and control drop-down icon, (which displays a wrench graphic), in the upper right corner of the browser window. Then do the following:
1. Select Options from the menu. The Google® Chrome® options dialog box opens.
2. Click the Under the Hood tab.

Jigsaw Meeting has been tested and determined to run on Linux®. However, the Desktop and Application Sharing feature of Jigsaw Meeting does not work for a Jigsaw Meeting Presenter’s computer running on Linux®. In order to share desktop components, a meeting presenter must be running on one of the Apple® or Microsoft® operating systems listed in What are the system requirements that I should know about before using Jigsaw Meeting?
Desktop and Application Sharing is supported for Jigsaw Meeting Attendees running Linux®.
Because Jigsaw Meeting provides live streaming video, a broadband Internet access connection (frequently referred to as simply "broadband") is required. Due to its high transmission rate, broadband is also known as a high-speed connection. All Jigsaw Meeting attendees should have a high-speed connection.
In general, a connection with a transmission rate of 256 kilobits per second (Kbps) or greater is considered broadband. Do not use Jigsaw Meeting with a dial-up connection. Dial-up modems are limited to a transmission rate of 56 Kbps or less.
Third-party tools are provided to test broadband connection speeds on the web sites listed here. Please consult the vendor for more information.

http://www.speedtest.net/ Generally, the higher the throughput, the better the result. NOTE: You may experience moderate to severe audio delays using VoIP during a Jigsaw Meeting if one or more attendees is operating on a slow or congested connection. For example, if an attendee uses a Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) connection with upload speeds below the minimum standard broadband rate (256Kbps), it may cause audio problems in Jigsaw Meeting. For more information about your Internet connection speed, contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
