Creating a Meeting
Yes, you must be designated as a host by your Jigsaw Meeting administrator in order to create meetings. A host is a person with the ability to create and manage meetings using Jigsaw Meeting. The host controls the meetings that she creates. She can invite attendees to a meeting, upload files to the meeting, distribute surveys to attendees, pass host control to presenters in the meeting, and review meeting reports after the meeting has ended.
Note that your Jigsaw Meeting administrator may also be an assigned host.
If you would like to host meetings for your organization and you have not been assigned as a host, contact your organization’s Jigsaw Meeting administrator about purchasing a host license. When the Jigsaw Meeting administrator for your organization assigns an individual as a meeting host, an email with subject line “Jigsaw Meeting Host Announcement” is delivered to the new host. The new host is instructed to log in to Jigsaw Meeting to complete a personal profile online.
If you are already a Jigsaw Meeting user, you can determine if you have been assigned as a host by signing in to Jigsaw Meeting at https://stream.jigsawmeeting.com/Signin.aspx. The Scheduled Meetings page is displayed. If your Scheduled Meetings page has two buttons labeled Create Meeting and Manage Company, in addition to the Edit Profile button, then you are assigned as a host and can create meetings.
If your Scheduled Meetings page does not have the Create Meeting button, then you can see only the Edit Profile button, and you are a designated attendee, not a host. Contact your organization’s Jigsaw Meeting administrator for more information.

If there is a need for someone else to host meetings, contact your Jigsaw Meeting administrator about obtaining a host license. Although you cannot create meetings for another host, you can designate one of your meeting attendees to be a presenter in the meeting.
If you want to host a meeting but allow someone else to have certain host capabilities during the meeting, designate her as a Jigsaw Meeting Presenter (not Attendee) when you invite her to the meeting. You are not required to join the meeting as the host. After the designated presenter joins the meeting, other attendees are also able to join. The presenter can control video, upload assets, use the host’s existing assets (provided asset file security is configured to be available to everyone), and create and distribute surveys. She cannot otherwise edit the meeting time or invite other attendees.
For more information about host, presenter and attendee capabilities, see the Managing my Meetings FAQ.
